Our Goals:

  1. Community Development and Outreach: To help build a strong sense of community in Leesburg by providing opportunities for all citizens to participate together in recreation activities and events.
     
  2. Healthy Lifestyle: To become a proactive educator of the Leesburg community about the benefits of physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle and to promote those benefits through quality recreation programs, services, and facilities.
     
  3. Planning and Development: To develop and maintain a balanced park system, with well defined levels of service, high quality facilities, and a growth management plan designed to meet the park/recreation needs of the citizens of Leesburg.
     
  4. Maintenance Management: To vigorously address all aspects of maintenance to ensure safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing parks and facilities.
     
  5. Business Planning/Financial Accountability: To operate in a fiscally responsible and ethical manner that promotes self-sufficiency and fosters creativity in securing alternative funding sources.
     
  6. Staff Recruitment, Development, and Retention: To be recognized in the community and industry as a progressive, employee motivated organization that fosters career development and retention.
     
  7. Communications and Relations: To engage in cooperative relationships with our citizens, local businesses, community groups, civic organizations, and other government entities to reach common goals.
