Show your patriotic spirit at the annual Independence Day Parade, held through Historic Downtown Leesburg. The parade will being at Ida Lee Park and travel down King Street to Fairfax Street . This is a great chance to join you friends and neighbors to celebrate the birthday of the United States ! To be part of the festivities and be part of the parade, please see the application listed below. There is no fee to participate, so all businesses, youth groups, organizations and individuals are invited to join us!

Celebration in the Park- 6:00pm
With gates opening at 6:00pm, the public is invited to continue their day of celebrations with the sounds of local favorite “Reverend Hookems, ” followed by the country sounds of “Marna and Macy. ” A full food court will be on hand serving funnel cakes, ice-cream, BBQ and many other favorites.

Fireworks- 9:30pm
Complete your night by enjoying the areas largest firework show!

  • No fireworks
  • No alcoholic beverages
  • No pets please

In the event of rain, fireworks will be rescheduled for 9:30pm, July 5 th . No other activities will be rescheduled.

 

Parking

Parking will be available at Ida Lee Park. We will park the festival field parking off of King Street first and the interior parking lots off of Ida Lee Drive last. Town of Leesburg staff work very hard to insure that we park as many vehicles as possible in the park, so please be patient and kind while waiting to enter and exit.
Note: For your safety and the safety of others, please use designated cross walks and be careful while driving after the event!

First Aid

Lady Liberty and Uncle Sam roam the fields of Ida Lee to greet guests and pose for picturesThe First Aid station will be located under the green tent by the farm house. Leesburg Fire and Rescue Volunteers will be on site to provide medical assistance.

Coolers and Large Bags are permitted but will be checked at ticket gate entrances.

Please do not bring:

  • Pets
  • Alcohol
  • Glass Bottles
  • Personal Fireworks

Note: Please don't leave pets in your vehicle. It's against the law to leave pets in vehicles during hot weather. It is also a detriment to their health.
