If you love fresh flowers and vegetables but don’t have space to plant a garden, Ida Lee Park has the answer! The seventy 20’ x 20’ garden plots available are tilled and staked and are ready for planting on April 1st (weather permitting). Water is available. Garden plot registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to one plot per household. Assignments will be made randomly by the Parks and Recreation Department. Last year’s participants who register before March 2nd will be assigned the same plot, providing there are plots available at time of registration. A waiting list will be established after all plots have been registered, for those who were too late to register for a plot and are interested in taking over a plot not in use after May 11th. Plot assignments and garden rules will be mailed to all participants in late March. Rules are available beforehand upon request. Plots are available from April 1st until November 1st.
Fee: $40.00 per plot.
